CALIFORNIA — A large majority, around 72 percent of drivers bring their pets along for rides, but most don’t use restraints to keep their furry friends safe, according to a new survey.
WARSAW — Warsaw Christian School kindergarteners just finished studying a unit on community helpers. The students loved the hands on opportunity to learn important safety tips, and get to see up close some of the important tools these heroes use to help them stay safe.
MINNEAPOLIS — As 55 million children across the country begin heading back to school, AAA urges motorists to slow down and stay alert in neighborhoods and school zones, and to be especially vigilant for pedestrians during before and after-school hours. The afternoon hours are particularly dangerous for walking children — over the last decade, nearly one-third of child pedestrian fatalities occurred between 3 and 7 p.m.
