WARSAW — The hosts ran away from Elkhart Central late in a 46-35 win in Friday’s early semifinal, advancing to face Penn, in Saturday’s Sectional 4 championship.

WARSAW — Warsaw softball nearly gave away its tourney-opener with Elkhart Central Monday, but scored four runs in the eighth to take the lead for good.

ELKHART — Blake Marsh sunk the game-winner with 2.6 seconds to play, and Warsaw advanced to Saturday’s Elkhart Central Sectional championship with a 43-41 win over the host Blue Blazers Friday night.

MIDDLEBURY — The Blue Blazers got some late heroics from sophomore Kaitlyn Costner, ending Warsaw’s season, 32-27 in semifinal action at the Northridge Sectional Saturday.
