Nine Treated After Atwood Fire

Nine people are currently being treated for smoke inhalation at Kosciusko Community Hospital following a small fire at Egg Innovations near Atwood. The fire was reported shortly after 3 p.m. The fire burned a 15-foot to 20-foot patch of sawdust and was quickly contained by employees. The Leesburg and Atwood Fire Departments responded quickly to a grass fire in Leesburg that was approaching a house and barn. Though there were livestock in the barn, the firemen were able to get the blaze under control and extinguished. No people or animals were injured. The fire was located on CR 700 E.
