SYRACUSE — The hosting of the 33rd Annual Wawasee E-Scow Open Regatta on Lake Wawasee, June 4-5, was the perfect time to try out a registered drone. Ryan Nell and Jeff Herdrich, race enthusiasts and lake residents, were following the regatta in a pontoon and used one of their drones to video the event.

LOUISVILLE — A Kentucky man who admitted to shooting dow a neighbor’s drone, had his case dismissed earlier this week. Now William H. Merideth, who calls himself the “drone slayer,” is declaring victory.

Donald Alfred Drone, age 81, Akron, formally of Springfield, Ill. died at 4:45 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2015, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
