Daniel “Les” Simmers, 83, Columbia City, died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, March 6, 2016, at his home. He was born Sept. 26, 1932, in Jefferson Township, Whitley County a son of Dewey R. and Bernice (McFarren) Simmers. As a young boy, his family moved to Collamer.
