PIERCETON — The financial responsibility of Pierceton is being handed over this January to the new clerk-treasurer, Jerry Kreger.

Candidate filing began at 8 a.m. Jan. 8 for the May 6 primary election. Final deadline to declare a candidacy is Feb. 7.
