MILFORD — Strolling along Main Street in Milford’s downtown business district, one can still whiff an ugly reminder of the Oct. 8 early morning fire that scuttled one business and closed two others to smoke and water damage.

MILFORD — A couple who were out for an early morning stroll possibly saved a major portion of the downtown business district in Milford this morning, Thursday, Oct. 8. Because of their actions one business suffered fire and smoke damage while another sustained only smoke damage according to preliminary reports.
