Verna L. Torpy, 66, Silver Lake, Ind., passed away at 6:10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, 2014, in her residence. She was born Sept. 30, 1947, in Waco, Texas, to Joseph C. and Minnie Leona (Markle) Nawara.
