WARSAW — Terry Shepherd, developer of the Candlewood Estates subdivision in Wayne Township, wants to re-plat the second phase of the subdivision from six lots to three. Also changing would be the shortening of a cul-de-sac by a considerable distance and relocating a 20-foot emergency access easement to the western edge of one of the three lots.

WARSAW — During its regular monthly meeting Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 3, in Warsaw, the Kosciusko County Area Planning Commission considered a rezoning petition for Chad and Annie Zartman in Plain Township. It soon became apparent more than a rezoning was involved, though eventually the APC chose to focus only on the rezoning.

NORTH WEBSTER — Board member Bob Sanders expressed frustration with those who refused to join the project when it was presented. “We’re bending over backwards to help these guys,” said Sanders. “… let them eat a little crow.”

NORTH WEBSTER — Board member Bob Sanders brought an important point the board in reference to customers who may be on limited incomes and unable to work because of retirement or disability to add additional income. “We can’t do that to our people,” stated Sanders, noting some public members are fearful of losing their homes because of the increased expense of sewer bills.
