FORT WAYNE – The Fort Wayne TinCaps were among a $50 million Minor League Baseball community betterment effort in 2019.

The Whitley County Dazzlers, a special needs cheerleading squad, recently launched a Facebook fundraising campaign to cover costs so that its members can attend nationals on April 21 in Florida. Coach Vanessa Bills noted the cheerleaders, who range from 6 to 24 years of age, are excited about the trip, adding “Because there are often special medical needs involved, they don’t always get to go on a vacation, so to go away for two days is big.”

WARSAW — Recently Joe’s Kids and Allowing Christ to Shine teamed up with DePuy Synthes to fundraise under Johnson and Johnson’s Do Good, Be Well campaign.  The team held multiple fundraising events and through the generous support from the local community, was able to raise over $11,000.
