Anna L. McDowell, 91, of Syracuse, passed away on Monday Dec. 8, 2014, at her home. She was born Jan. 27, 1923, in Nappanee, to Jesse and Cora Stackman. On Jan. 8, 1973, in Elkhart, she married William S. McDowell. Anna was in the US Naval Reserves from 1943 – 1944.
