NAPPANEE – A basketball state championship and the Patricia L. Roy Mental Attitude award capped off the résumé for our IFN Athlete of the Year Maddy Payne.

NAPPANEE – NorthWood sophomore Cybil Stillson isn’t used to being a No. 5, but the golf ace makes the top half of our IFN countdown.

SYRACUSE – Jace Alexander continued to compete as one of the top wrestlers in Northern Indiana in a second straight appearance at the IHSAA State Finals and first appearance on our list, landing at No. 6.

NAPPANEE – At No. 7 on our countdown, Ben Vincent had a direct impact on two of NorthWood’s sectional championship teams this season in tennis and basketball.

WARSAW – Checking in at No. 8 is Warsaw’s Grant Knight, who concluded his high school swim career with a top 10 of his own at the IHSAA State Finals.

AKRON – Sidney Wagner found herself doing more work than expected as the new go-to for the Tippecanoe Valley girls basketball program.

NAPPANEE – IFN begins its countdown of the Top 10 athletes with our boys basketball Player of the Year, Trent Edwards.

SYRACUSE – Wawasee basketball rallied itself to a remarkable season and a spot at No. 9 on our Top 10 list.

BOURBON – Triton volleyball opens the IFN Top 10 teams with our selection as No. 10.
