WARSAW — The Park Board meeting, held Tuesday, Oct. 20, reported the completion of multiple projects, including a new disc golf course, an installed playground and the Kiwanis garden. The meeting also covered the resignation of Director Liz McKinley.

MERRILLVILLE — Thanks to a joint effort between Northern Indiana Public Service Company and several area environmental organizations, nearly 1,630 acres of land will be preserved and restored for public education and enjoyment, with an additional focus on improving the biodiversity and habitats for many of the region’s plant and animal life.

WARSAW — Review of proposed budgets for 2016 are complete. Now the Warsaw City Council needs to act on the proposals before the Sept. 19 deadline to advertise that budget.
