Allen O. Trump, 96 formerly of the Argos community, died at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015, at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Rochester, where he had been in declining health for several weeks.
Allen was born on June 20, 1919, in Mishawaka, to Orville Trump and Ada (Way) Trump and had lived in the Argos community since 1951.
On Dec. 13, 1941, he married Mary Ellen (Bodey) Trump an together they sharing 71 years with each other. Mary precede him on March 15 2013. He was a Meat Cutter working in Meat Processing at Wilson’s in Logansport, where he retired in 1981 and was a member of the Argos Wesleyan Church of Argos. He was also a charter member of the Argos Wesleyan Church and a graduate of LaPaz High School class of 1939.
Allen is survived by his sons: Harvey (Lois) Trump, Argos; Marion (Carol) Trump, Seattle, Wash.; Ray (friend Marcia Honkomp) Trump, Argos; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; brother: Ross (Norma) Trump, North Manchester. Allen is preceded in death by his parents; wife; sons: Ronald Allen Trump; Merlyn Trump; brother: Roy Trump; sister: Norma LaBere; and foster daughter: Melinda William.
Friends may visit with the family from 9-11 a.m. Monday Sept. 7, at the ParkSide Community Church, Argos. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, also at the church, with Rev. Brian Trump of ParkSide Community Church officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Argos.
