INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis resident has concocted an all-natural lip balm that is going nationwide in CVS pharmacies all over the U.S.

Dan Gosling, creator of ChopSaver lip balm, never thought his invention would get to where it is today, but his all-natural recipe is now being sold alongside name-brand lip balms.

“ChopSaver is an all-natural, herbal lip care product that I created in my kitchen! ChopSaver was inspired by a random conversation I had several years ago with one of my students. He told me how he treated a lip injury he suffered in a marching band accident with an herb called Arnica,” says Gosling of ChopSaver. Arnica, which is derived from sunflower, reduces swelling and bruising of the skin, and is the key ingredient in Gosling’s lip balm.
