AKRON – Liz VanMeter led the way Wednesday night as the Tippecanoe Valley girls golf team went 1-1 versus Bremen and Triton.

VanMeter shot a 52 at the Sprig O’Mint course near Bremen as the Vikings shot 231 as a team.

Bremen, led by a 49 from medalist Sara Knepper, won the match with a 202. Triton came in at 278.

Victoria Biddle carded a 55 and Blake VanMetera a 59 for the Vikings in the three-way match. Lexi Cumberland shot a 65 and Makayla Sandbakken a 66 for Valley.

Valley is now 4-5 on the season. The Vikings will face Manchester, North Miami and Whitko on Thursday in conference play at the Round Barn Golf Course in Rochester.
