Brian Hunter Strouse, 55, died at 4:07 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015, at Glenbrook Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center, Fort Wayne.

Born May 20, 1960, in Columbia City, son of the late Edgar “Bud” Strouse, Jr. and Mary Louise (Amans) Strouse.

He graduated from Columbia City Joint High School, 1979. Bachelor’s degree from Duke University in Zoology, 1982. Master’s degree from IPFW – Fort Wayne in Biology, 1986.

Worked at Strouse’s Menswear and various Columbia City hotels. He is survived by a sister: Leigh (Mark) Caldwell, Irvine, Calif.

In accordance with the family’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service.
