The Heirloom Tomato Festival is adding another new feature this year, as four Indiana authors attend to sign their new books. The four authors featured are Richard Rose, Dr. John Davis, Karen Camden-Welsh and Al Disbro.

Richard Rose will be featuring his novel “The Lazarus Conspiracies.” Murder, mystery and one man’s quest for justice all lead back to one location: North Webster. Rose is a native of our Hoosier state and currently resides in Chicago.

John J. Davis is the President and Professor Emeritus at Grace Theological Seminary. In addition to his work at Grace, Davis has served as pastor of various churches and as a Senior Supervisor of archaeological digs in Israel and Jordan for almost 30 years. “Paradise to Prison,” “Moses and the Gods of Egypt” and his latest work “Conquest and Crisis: Studies in Joshua, Judges and Ruth” are among his numerous books and published works.

Karen Camden Welsh currently resides in Lafontaine. Animals are her most common subjects. Camden has exhibited in many jury shows with occasional honors. Camden is an art instructor at Community School for the Arts, Marion. Illustrating “If a Dog were a Human” was a dream come true for her.

Al Disbro, who is originally from Winona Lake, is a photographer and local historian. His stories and photographs come from life-long residents of the town. Al will be promoting his book “Winona Lake.”

Come to the Heirloom Tomato Festival from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22. The book signing will be held in the train depot in Pierceton. There is something for all ages. For more information, call (574) 268-4860.
