Whitko Drops Match To Maconaquah

SOUTH WHITLEY -The Whitko boys tennis team was back in action Wednesday night. The Wildcats hosted the Three Rivers Conference’s newest member in Maconaquah and watched the Braves leave with a 3-2 victory.
Whitko’s Nic Rose and Tim Gensch found themselves victorious on the No. 1 doubles court with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Levi Edington and Tyler Yoars. The No. 2 doubles team of Cory Hersha and Micah Cokl also left with a victory with a 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 defeat of Zach Reyburn and CJ Newnum.
Maconaquah won both the No. 1 and No. 2 singles courts in competition while Whitko had to forfeit the No. 3 singles spot.
Whitko (0-2) will travel to Westview Thursday evening.
