Plumlee Inks Deal With Pacers

The Indiana Pacers announced today (July 5) that former Warsaw Community High School standout Miles Plumlee has signed with the team.

Plumlee, who played at Duke, was selected in the first round by the Pacers in the NBA Draft on June 28. The 6-10 center/forward was the 26th overall selection in the draft.

Plumlee, who grew up in Warsaw, played through his junior season at WCHS. He then transferred to Christ School, a prep school in Arden, North Carolina, where after reclassifying he helped lead them to two state championships. He averaged almost seven points and seven rebounds per game while playing 20 minutes per contest his senior season at Duke.

Plumlee is scheduled to take part in the Pacers’ rookie/free agent camp starting today. He also will play on the Pacers’ team in the Orlando Summer League, which begins on Monday.

No terms of Plumlee’s contract were revealed, as in Pacers’ team policy.
