Maria EvilsizorMaria Evilsizor, 76, of Columbia City, died at 4:55 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, 2015, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.

She was born Aug. 20, 1938, in Setcdorf, Czechoslovakia, a daughter of Alfred and Anna (Feike) Ehrlich. In 1946 her family moved to Germany where she graduated from Germany.

In November 1975 she moved to Pensacola, Fla. and later Fort Knox, Ky. In 1977 she moved to Larwill until moving to Columbia City in 2004.

She was employed 10 years for the post office in Augsburg, Germany and retired from Dana Plastics in Columbia City in 2001 with 20 years of service.

Her memberships included Thorncreek Bethel Church of God and Eagles No. 1906 Auxiliary.

Surviving relatives include her five children: Heidi Röchner, Heidelburg, Germany; Deiter Andres, Augsburg, Germany; Wolfgang Andres, Augsburg, Germany; Susan (Randy) Waldeck, Columbia City; and Melanie (Bryan) Beers, Newport, Tenn.; three stepchildren: Donnie (Christy) Evilsizor, Fla.; David (Tomi) Evilsizor, Leesburg; and Zoe (Dean) Mogensen, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister: Elizabeth Bolm, Sisheim, Germany.

She was preceded in death by a brother: Joseph Ehrlich; and two sisters: Anna Böhm and Emma Tichi.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, at Smith and Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City. The burial will be in Eberhard Cemetery. The visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are to Thorncreek Bethel Church of God.
