NOBLE COUNTY — Alfred M. Crook, 75, Cromwell, died in a two-vehicle accident at 10:37 a.m. today, Monday, Aug. 17. The accident was at US 33 and SR 5 in Noble County.

According to the Noble County Sheriff’s Department, Georgia A. Krieger, 49, Barron, Wisc., driver of a 2014 Dodge Ram was not injured

Krieger’s vehicle collided with the side of Crook’s 1990 Dodge Dakota. The sheriff’s office report states the officers found the two vehicles had crashed directly in the intersection. The accident is still under investigation.

Assisting at the scene were Cromwell and Ligonier fire departments, EMS, state highway and county highway departments, Indiana State Police, Ligonier and Cromwell police departments.
