Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents.

Kosciusko

1:53 a.m. Monday, Aug. 3, South Columbia Street south of West Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Driver: Brandon S. Bucher, 27, South 25W, Warsaw. Bucher hit standing water and his vehicle floated into a bridge support. Damage up to $10,000.

12:42 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at the intersection of West SR 25 and South 1000W. Driver: Alexis M. Blankenship, 22, Kincaide Street, Warsaw. A rock fell from an oncoming dump truck and hit Blankenship’s windshield. Blankenship had no information on the dump truck. Damage up to $750.

Milford

Officers with the Milford Police Department investigated the following accident.

3:57 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, Lehman Drive, east of Heide Lane. Driver: Josh M. Sommers 27, 499 Lehman Drive, Milford. Sommers was backing out of his driveway and hit a parked car. Damage up to $2,500.

Syracuse

Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accident.

7 pm. Sunday, Aug. 2, at the intersection of North SR 13 and North Brown Street, Syracuse. Driver: William L. Workman, 77, North Hoss Hill Road, North Webster. Workman, northbound on SR 13, was turning left, when an unknown driver attepted to go around him on a double yellow line, sideswiping Workman’s vehicle. The unknown vehicle stopped, then drove on. A witness provided a description and license plate number and, while the vehicle was later located, police have not found the driver. Damage up to $5,000.

Warsaw

Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents.

7:58 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, at the intersection of North Detroit Street and East Fort Wayne Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Philip Buhrke, 19, Palace Street, Aurora, Ill., and Randall S. Cripe, 43, Camden Court, Goshen. Buhrke was turning left onto East Fort Wayne Street at a green light and became distracted trying to figure out if it was a one-way street. He did not see Cripe’s oncoming car, and turned in front of it. Cripe’s car hit Buhrke’s. Damage up to $5,000.

6:05 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, East Clark Street east of North Maple Avenue, Warsaw. Driver: Spencer S. Kelly, 28, North Bronson Street, Warsaw. Kelly was eastbound when his tire blew out, causing him to veer to the right, striking a parked car. No injuries were reported. Damage up to $2,500.

5:16 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, North Detroit Street north of East Canal Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Harla D. Sparks, 64, Grant Street, Warsaw and Katie M. Newland, 17, Rozella Road, Warsaw. Sparks changed lanes to go around a car in front of her that was turning left and Newland’s vehicle, which was in her blind spot, struck hers. No injuries were reported. Damage up to $2,500.

1:13 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, 3350 Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Drive: Janice E. Luepke, 62, Sanctuary Court, Appleton, Wisc. While towing a mobile home, Luepke attempted to pull into a parking space and the mobile home struck a parked car. Pamela James, owner of the parked car, was inside the car when the mobile home hit it. Ksandra Kenevan, a witness saw the collision. No injuries were reported. Damage up to $5,000.

4:67 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, Laurelwood Drive west of Highlander Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Kimberly A. Moore, 32, Lake Sharon Road, Warsaw. Moore was backing out of her driveway and hit a parked car. Damage up to $5,000.
