Wawasee Gymnastics Club will host camps at WHS for preschool/kindergarteners from July 10-12 and a school-aged camp from July 16-20. The first camp is $35 and runs from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. including a snack, T-shirt and daily prizes. The second camp is $55 runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., which includes a T-shirt, daily contests and awards as well as a Friday exhibition.
The WGC will also host five classes to be held at Wawasee High School from July 23-27, costing $35. The classes are from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. for preschool/kindergarteners; 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. for beginners and advanced beginners; and 7:30-8:30 p.m. for intermediate and advanced.
Wawasee Gymnastics Club classes require a club membership (AAU) of $12 in addition to the session fee.

SOCCER CAMP

Wawasee High School will host a soccer camp from 8 a.m. to noon July 9-13 at the WHS varsity soccer field. Call 529-3444 for more information.

CONCORD WINS WAWASEE SHOOT-OUT

The Concord Minutemen beat South Bend St. Joe, 57-43, in the championship of the ninth annual Wawasee Trifecta Shoot-out. Concord went 5-0 in the tournament.

Wawasee were 1-2 in pool play, losing to St. Joe, 50-28, and 47-45 to Prairie Heights while beating Buchanan (Mich.), 39-26. Wawasee lost to Southwood 37-36 and Tippecanoe Valley, 49-36, in bracket play to finish in eighth place out of 16 teams. The Vikings lost to Concord, 66-49, but rallied with wins over Tri-West (57-45) and Churubusco (72-26) to conclude pool play before falling to Caston, 35-22, before ending against Wawasee.
