SYRACUSE — Earlier this week District One Commander Lt. John Karris sent the following in an email to WACF Executive Director Heather Harwood:

“Through our patrols on Lake Wawasee this weekend, officers were still seeing several homes impacted by lake water. It is our hope with the recent warm weather and no rain fall the lake level will begin to fall more rapidly as the days go by. With the current conditions the idle speed will stay in effect on Lake Wawasee. We will continue to monitor the lake level and once the lake water no longer is impacting homes I will request the restriction be lifted. Let’s hope for more warm dry weather.”
