MILFORD — Milford Fire Department responded to the report of a gas leak at 71 E. North St. around 2 p.m. today, July 24.

Fire officials reported the leak came from a small portable propane tank hooked to a larger one.

The homeowner was not home at the time of the incident, and officials believe the high temperatures and direct sunlight may have caused the leak in the line.

The leak has been stopped at this time and no injuries were sustained.
