Stefanie Brickey, 36, and Justin Baker, 31, both of Fort Wayne, were arrested by Syracuse Police and the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force at 8:55 p.m. Tuesday after an undercover purchase of prescription medication. The undercover purchase occurred at 201 Greenhaus Drive, Syracuse.

Officers allegedly purchased pills from Brickey and after the purchase she was taken into custody as she was leaving the apartment. Officers also took Baker into custody. He was an accomplice in her vehicle.

During his arrest officers discovered an active on pot meth lab on the front floor board of the vehicle. A search of the vehicle turned up several grams of meth, several precursor items and needles.

Both were charged with dealing a schedule II controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a family housing complex and manufacturing methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a family housing complex, both class A felonies.

The officers were assisted by the Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Team who was called into clean up and remove the meth lab. This was a joint effort between Syracuse Police and the Drug Task Force.
