Joe Anderson, left and Tameka Lucas tended to a fiery pit of deliciousness at the Turkey Creek Firemen’s Barbecue at Station 1, 402 Huntington St., Syracuse.
Along with the barbecued chicken seen above, pork chops and ears of corn were also served, primarily to drive-through customers, though there was limited seating in the station.
By 10 a.m., the start time, customers were already streaming in. Organizers expected supplies to last until around 1 p.m.
