Thelma E. North, age 92, of Warsaw, passed away at 6:55 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Miller’s at Oak Pointe, Columbia City.

Born February 9, 1923, in Etna-Troy Township of Whitley County, she was the daughter of Malen Ray and Mary Ann (Beeks) North.

Thelma lived most of her life in Whitley and Kosciusko Counties, except for 8 years in Bradley, Ill..  She graduated Columbia City High School with the Class of 1941.  She worked at Schultz Brothers Department Store in Columbia City and Warsaw. She also was a Dental Assistant for Dr. Bob Langohr in Columbia City and Dr. William Mayo, Bradley, Ill. A long time resident of Warsaw, Thelma had attended the Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include her sister-in-law: Bobbie North, Columbia City; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Gertrude Coy; Hazel Richey; and brothers: John and George North; and Ferry; James; Ed; and Glen Parrett.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 2, at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, with calling hours one hour prior. Pastor David Arnold will be officiating. Burial to follow at Nolt Cemetery.
