Lester (Les) Williams passed away at the age of 82 on Monday, June 22, 2015, at his home in Georgetown (Sun City), Texas surrounded by his family.

He was born in Wabash County, on Jan. 29, 1933. He graduated from Chester High School in North Manchester. Later he attended Evansville College and IU Technical School. Les served in US Air Force from 1951 to 1955. He retired in 1995 from GenCorp where he formed lasting friendships in his 44 year career.

He was a member of the Worship Place in Sun City. Les was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and Dayton Flyers (basketball) team. He enjoyed golfing, traveling the world, movies, playing cards, dining out and spending time with his family and friends.

Les is survived by his wife of 63 years: Anita (Schroll) Williams; daughters: Lori (Tom) Vacchiano; Susan (Denny) Hill; Cheri Williams; grandchildren: Erin (Cullen) Breithaupt; Evan Vacchiano; Rachel Williams; Ross Hill; Amy Hill; Kristi (Brad) Meyer; great-grandchildren: Elsa Meyer; and Gavin Meyer. Les is preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Rozella (Doug) Shenefield; and Betty (Jack) Baker.

A memorial service will be held at McKee Mortuary at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 11, in North Manchester. Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Servia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the COPD Foundation or a Foundation of your choice.
