Aaron T. Eckman, III, 20 of LaPaz, passed at 9:22 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2015, in Fulton County. He was born on Aug. 27, 1994, in Bremen.
Aaron is survived by his parents: Rhonda A. (Mike Winrotte) Walter, Plymouth; and Aaron T. (Darlene) Eckman II, Argos; son: Casin E. Finch; and a baby on the way; girlfriend: Kendra Robbins, Plymouth; grandparents: George and Kris L. Walter, LaPaz; Dennis and Rose McGrew, Plymouth; Buddy McCrammer, Donaldson; and Aaron T. and Debra Eckman, Spartanburg, S.C.; great-grandparents: Peggy Richard, Lakeville; Edith Walter, Bremen; Dusty and Ruth Eckman, Plymouth; and Bill and Ethel Whaley, LaPaz; brother: Matthew L. Eckman, South Bend; and many aunts; uncles; and extended family, including Marcus and Janette Walter; Jenny Walter; Don Young; Dave and Wendy Tapia; Scott and Jessica Ogle; and Sara Eckman.
Aaron was a lifelong area resident. He was an outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish. He loved show cars, enjoyed working on race cars and was very competitive. He was employed at Asplundh Tree Service. Aaron was a wonderful mechanic and a member of the Pine Creek Church of the Brethren. He lived life to the fullest.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, at the Pine Creek Church of the Brethren, North Liberty. Pastor Steve VanHouten and Pastor Jay Walter Jr. will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Fair Cemetery, North Liberty. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
