On Sunday afternoon, infant twin Greyson Gunnar Ty Schmidt joined his brother Jaxton in the eternal care of Our Lord Jesus Christ. They were born premature on the June 4 and remained in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka.

He is survived by his parents: Broderick T. and Kyleigh S. (Sage) Schmidt, Culver, and a loving family; paternal grandparents: Steve E. Schmidt, Culver, Tory R. Schmidt, South Bend, paternal great-grandparents: Norva and Brian Shidler, Culver, and Robert “Bobby” and Faith Tennyson, Mishawaka, along with maternal grandparents: John “Tim” and Tonya Sage, Culver, maternal great-grandparents; Bill and Mardell Retschlag, Winamac, Fred Lemert, Plymouth and John Sage, Donaldson. A host of aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Also preceding in death were paternal great-grandparents; Marilyn Joan and Richard Elmer Schmidt and maternal great-grandmothers; Margaret June Sage and Peggy Ann Lemert.
