FISHERS – The Lake City Roller Dolls used a strong performance in the second half to earn a victory Saturday night.

The Dolls, in a close bout from the start, trailed the Terrorz of Tiny Towns team at halftime by a score of 93-86.

The Dolls came out strong in the final half with several power jams and used their endurance to wear down another opponent for the win.

The LCRD took the lead for good and went on to record a 187-156 victory.

Legs Fordays was named the MVP Jammer for the Dolls in the bout and Carmen Slamdiego earned MVP Blocker in the win.

The Dolls are set to appear at the Mermaid Festival in North Webster June 24-27 for a scrimmage. The team will also be at the Cromwell Days July 18.

The next WFTDA bout for the Dolls, who are 2-2 on the season, will be in Hammond on Aug. 22 versus the South Shore Roller Girls. The Dolls will then host the South Shore team in Warsaw on Sept. 12 at the Dollhouse (Hansen’s Eastlake Skating Center).
