Tony Scott SwinehartTony “Scott” Swinehart, 45, New Paris, died 7:03 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2015.

He was born April 16, 1970, in Goshen, to Tony L. and Connie (Wagner) Swinehart. He married Kelly (Neff) Swinehart on Oct. 29, 1988.

Surviving are his wife: Kelly, New Paris; children: T.J. Swinehart; Zackart (Caitlin) Swinehart; and Samantha Swinehart, all of New Pairs; mother: Connie Swinehart, Millersburg; sisters: Stacie (Keith) Kiser, Kimmell; Lori (Warren) VanNess, Millersburg; sister-in-law: Carolyn Swinehart, Millersburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death are his father: Tony L. Swinehart; and a brother: Jeffrey Swinehart.

Scott was a 1988 graduate of Fairfield High School and a self-employed contractor. He was an avid gun, motorcyclist and four wheel drive truck enthusiast.

Visitation will be 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, June 15, at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, Goshen, where the service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 16. Rev. John Lantz will officiate. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Elkhart County 4-H Gun Club.
