WINONA LAKE – The Grace College volleyball team left campus Tuesday for a two-week trip to Israel.

The Lady Lancers, who will be gone June 9-22, will spend time in several cities for a sport mission trip in conjunction with Ignite International. The team will visit Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazareth, Tel Aviv, Jericho and the Dead Sea.

Grace will conduct several volleyball camps and clinics during the trip, focusing on underprivileged children. The team will spend time at orphanages and speak at various churches while impacting local volleyball clubs.

Grace will also scrimmage against the Israeli Junior National Volleyball Team along with other sightseeing activities.

Former Lady Lancer volleyball standout Stefanie Hohm and her husband Chris will co-lead the trip along with former Grace student-athlete and former board member Janine Zeltwanger.

The team has set up a blog online for updates during the trip, which can be seen here.
