Lee Anne Stewart Dance Schools invite you to spend some time at our 42nd annual dance production. The theme for the show is “Friends & Family,” and each dance number correlates to family and friends.

“We are so excited to present this year’s show to our friends, families and guests,” says Lee Anne Stewart, exclusive owner and operator of the dance schools.  “Finding each theme related song and creating the choreography is always very fun and rewarding, and each number is turning out to be wonderful.”

The three current studio locations, Nappanee, Syracuse and Warsaw, provide students from many surrounding communities a fun, relaxed place to learn dance skills and appreciate dance as an art form.

For students the annual dance production also serves as a celebration and an inside glimpse at the performance profession.

Lee Anne Stewart Dance School will hold its performances at Warsaw Community High School Performing Arts Center 7 p.m. Saturday, June 6; 4 p.m., Sunday, June 7; 7 p.m. Friday, June 12; 7 p.m. Saturday, June 13; and 4 p.m. Sunday, June 14. Tickets  are still available for all productions.

June will mark the close of Stewart’s 42nd year of teaching dance in the greater Wawasee area. A second studio was opened in Nappanee in the fall of 1996 and for the past two years Stewart has taught classes in the Warsaw area. All three studios host students from many surrounding communities including Goshen, Leesburg, Warsaw, Bremen, Winona Lake, Claypool and Plymouth among many others.

Some of the songs audiences will enjoy at this year’s show include “Best Friend’s Brother,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Hey Brother” and “We Are Family”. Also during the productions, over 60 students will receive awards for 5, 10 and 15 years of taking classes at Stewart Dance schools.

“I’m so proud of each of the students performing, but I love recognizing the young dancers who reach these milestones in their dance education,” boasts Stewart.

Information regarding summer classes and programs, as well as information for enrolling in fall classes and three Stewart Dance Teams, Fusion, FLY and fluidMOTION, is available online at www.stewartdanceschool.com, or by calling (877) 658-9875.

Classes are offered to students ranging from age 3½ through adult in pre-ballet, ballet, contemporary, jazz, jazz-funk, tap, pointe, hip hop and Zumba. Themed pre-school classes for students 3 to 4½ years of age are available in monthly sessions, and specialty classes in ballet, tap and jazz technique, contemporary, leaps and turns and more are offered periodically throughout the year for students 12 years and up.

The dance schools are located south of Syracuse on CR 300 East (just 15 minutes from Warsaw Walmart), on the third floor of Main Street Suites in Nappanee, and at Warsaw High School Performing Arts Center.
