Barry Lucas, age 60, Ligonier, went to his heavenly home to join his mother H. Louise Burkhart, his father Philip J. Burkhart, and his brother Gary Lucas at 7:45 p.m. Sunday, May 24, 2015, at home. He was born on June 19, 1954, and on Oct. 1, 1997, Barry married Carla Atz-Kuhn.

He graduated from Defiance High School & went on to work at General Motors in Defiance and retired after 30 years. Barry loved the Lord and wanted to help others trust in Jesus Christ as their personal savior. He served the Lord through his radio and jail ministries sharing the Good News with everyone who came within his voice. He loved the game of golf and his Detroit teams, The Tigers and The Lions. Barry loved his family and friends. In the musical lyrics of Larry Norman, a servant in Christ, “I hope I’ll see you in Heaven.” An appropriate Bible verse for Barry is Mathew 25:21-23, “Well done, my good and faithful servant”.

Surviving are his wife; two sons: Ben Kuhn, Cromwell; and Aaron (Angela) Kuhn, Wawaka.

No services are planned at this time; however a private cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center.
