Gregory A. Walters, 61, of Wabash, died at 12:30 p.m., Monday, May 25, 2015, at his home. He was born Nov. 3, 1953, in Wabash to Wallace C. Walters and Mary (Lewis) Slusher.
Greg attended Northfield High School and Ivy Tech in Fort Wayne. He worked for Martin Yale in Wabash, and also worked several years at Indiana-Michigan Power in Fort Wayne. He was a member of the Calvary Chapel Worship Center in Wabash. Greg enjoyed playing the drums, and played for several area bands.
He is survived by his mother: Mary Slusher, Wabash; seven children: Gail (Todd) Wininger, Fort Wayne; Amanda (Sean) Cassidy, Stamford, Ct.; James (Tara) Walters, Laveen, Ariz.; Angel (Dan) Mullins; Nicolette Walters; Noah (Jessica) Walters; and Amber (Tim) Styborski, all of Fort Wayne; 18 grandchildren; sister: TyAnna Snyder, Peru; stepdad: Jim (Mary) Slusher, West Baden; and niece: Alyson (John) Shoemaker, Logansport. He was preceded in death by his father and a grandaughter.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 29, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, May 28, at the funeral home.
