The Triton softball team tuned up for sectional play with an 11-1 win at Bethany Christian Thursday night.

The Trojans scored five runs in the second inning and four more in the third frame to highlight the five-inning victory.

Courtney Jennings fired a four-hitter in the circle for the winners.

Zoee Stephan led the offense for the Trojans with three hits and four RBI.

Heather Stichter had two doubles and drove in a pair of runs for Triton. Tatum Hargrave had three hits and Hannah Jennings had two hits, including a double, and Nicole Sechrist a double.

Triton improves to 18-10 on the season. The Trojans will play Elkhart Christian Academy at 3 p.m. Monday in the Class 1-A Triton Sectional.  Argos will meet Bethany Christian Monday at 1 p.m. in the sectional opener. The title game is set for Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
