Fire At Geiger Excavating Under Control

Volunteer firefighters were being called to help battle an out of control brush fire at Geiger Excavating south of Warsaw.

The initial call went out at about 5:20 p.m. Warsaw Fire Department went to the location, where a passerby reported seeing heavy smoke. Upon arrival, WFD called for assistance from Winona Lake and Claypool fire departments saying the flames from a brush fire were dangerously close to a structure or semi trailer.

The fire at 3829 S. SR 15, Warsaw, was fortunately under control within minutes. No additional information is yet available.
