Virginia Klinger, 82, formerly of Bourbon, Ind., and a resident of Life Care Center Rochester, Ind., passed away at 7:10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17, 2012.
Mrs. Klinger was born to George Underly and Anna Bell Cottrell Underly on March 22, 1930. She was married to Clyde Lancaster on Nov. 17, 1951, and he proceeded in death on Aug. 1, 1992. She then married Egon Klinger on Oct. 7, 1998, and he preceded her in death on June 10, 2010.
She is survived by her two children: Cheryl Buckles, Bourbon; Clyde Lancaster, Morristown, Tenn.; and a step-son: Harland Lancaster, Valparaiso, Ind.; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister: Lucelle Britton, Tucson, Ariz.
She was preceded in death by her sister: Patricia DeRycker; and four brothers: Don, Kenneth, Dale and Jack Underly.
Virginia retired as a nurse in April of 1992, and enjoyed flowers, gardening, cooking and caring for other people. She was a graduate of South Bend School Corporation in 1948.
In honoring Mrs. Klinger’s wishes, there will not be any visitation or funeral services.
