WARSAW – Bryce Zimpelman led the way to a third-place finish for the Tippecanoe Valley boys golf team Saturday in the Three Rivers Conference Meet.

Senior Zimpelman fired a round of 79 during the tournament held at the Rozella Ford Golf Club.

Zimpelman’s effort, which was the second lowest round on the day, earned the standout All-TRC honors.

Northfield captured the team championship with a 325. Rochester was runner-up with a 327 with Valley placing third at 350.

Trevor Neeley shot a round of 89 for coach Roger Moriarty’s Valley squad. Cole Cumberland came in with a 90 and Jeremy Julian a 92 for the Vikings. Corey Carson rounded out the lineup with a 97.

Manchester was fourth in the tourney at 350. Southwood was fifth at 367, followed by Whitko (374), Wabash (389) and North Miami (440).

Valley is scheduled to play Lakeland Christian Academy on Monday and then Northfield and Wabash on Tuesday.
