CULVER – Ryan Cultice continued his hot hand Saturday for the Warsaw boys golf.

The senior fired a round of 75 to pace the Tigers to a second place finish in the Culver Academies Invitational.

Cultice, who was medalist Thursday night as the Tigers beat conference foes Goshen and Concord at Bent Oak in Elkhart, helped his team to a runner-up finish in the 17-team event played at Mystic Hills.

Coach Ben Barkey’s team, which is undefeated in dual matches on the season, shot 300. South Bend St. Joseph edged the Tigers by one stroke, shooting a 299 to claim the championship.

Senior Jonny Hollar carded a 76 and classmate Brandon Eckert came in with a 78 for Warsaw. Sophomore Michale Jensen shot an 81 and senior Reid Cameron finished with an 86 for the Tigers.

Wawasee shot 314 to place sixth in the final team standings.

Tristen Atwood paced the Warriors with a round of 76.

Jeffrey Moore shot an 80, while Cal Heinisch had an 81 for coach Steve Coverson’es team. Caleb Perry shot an 88 and Mason Germonprez a 90.

Triton shot 334 to finish in 12th place. Jordan Anderson led the Trojans with an 80. Greg Music shot 83, while Bryce Swihart had an 89, Brenden Kreft a 92 and Spencer Johnson a 109 for the Trojans.

Michael Foy of Elkhart Memorial shot a three-over total of 74 to earn individual medalist honors.

St. Joe was team champion at 299 with Warsaw second at 300. Plymouth took third at 310, followed by Marian (312), Martinsville (313), Wawasee (314), NorthWood (315), CMA (322), Winamac (322), Harrison (332), Elkhart Memorial (333), Triton (334), North Central (335), Granger Christian (353), Jimtown (364), South Bend Adams (372) and Glenn (407).

Warsaw will host NorthWood and Northridge in conference play Tuesday at Stonehenge. Wawasee will play Concord and Elkhart Memorial in league action at Christiana Creek Country Club in Elkhart on Tuesday. Triton returns to action Thursday versus Knox and Jimtown.
