Summer is approaching, and fun in the sun requires breaking out the sunscreen to protect your skin. Consumer Reports has announced findings that some sunscreens may not be giving the protection users are looking for.

In a recent study, the organization found that one third of 34 sunscreens tested did not meet the SPF claims on the label. Dermatologists recommend using a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or more for the best protection from UVA and UVB radiation.

Those tested that did not meet SPF claims included Vichy SPF 50, Walmart’s Equate brand Ultra Protection SPF 50 and Coppertone Water Babies SPF 50.

The full report can be found on Consumer Reports’ website.
