This team is specially trained to provide services in such rescues as rope, vehicle and machinery search and rescue, trench and excavation search and rescue and structural collapse.

According to a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputy at the scene, a semi-trailer was westbound on US 30 when it crossed the median, across the eastbound lane of US 30 and ultimately crashing into a vacant building, located just east of Rosell’s Restaurant.

The driver of the truck was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries have been reported. No significant fire damage was reported. Crews are currently working to get the truck out of the building.
