Sava Rudo, 91, rural Akron, died at 6:15 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2015, at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester.

He was born on Jan. 10, 1924, in Omaha, Neb., to Mike and Catherine (Bless) Rudo. He has lived in the Akron area for 26 years coming from Omaha, Neb.

Sava married Barbara Holloway on July 4, 1953, at the Beaver Dam United Methodist Church near Akron. He worked for Union Pacific Railroad and Drakulich Trucking, retiring after 26 years of service living in Akron.

Surviving Sava is his wife: Barbara Sava; two daughters; Sheryl (Ena) Hayes, Omaha, Neb.; Sandra (Troy) Smith, Claypool; son: Scott (Jo-Anna) Rudo, Omaha, Neb.; one brother: Steve Rudo, Akron; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many neices and nephews.

Preceding Sava in death are his parents: brother: George Rudo; sister: Amelia Novakovich.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. 12:30 p.m. with the funeral service at 12:30 p.m. Friday, May 15, at Earl-Love Funeral Home, Akron. Burial will be in the Nichols Cemetery.
