Alexis "Lexy" Bales is believed to be a runaway and police are asking for the public's help in finding her.
A 17-year-old Milford girl allegedly ran away from her parents home on May 31 and, while authorities believe she is not in danger, they need to find her because she is a minor believed to be in the presence of an unknown male subject.

Alexis “Lexy” Bales, 17, was last seen by her mother in their home on East LaPoint Drive at 8 a.m. Thursday. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Chad Hill says Bales left her mother a note saying she was leaving. “The note basically said it’s not a good-bye, just a see you later,” Hill said.

Bales was last seen by a neighbor getting into a gray vehicle driven by an unknown male subject. She left behind her cell phone and had deleted all of the text messages. Later that evening, the girl reportedly called her mom to say she was in a safe place but not coming home. She refused to give any other information.

Bales’ mother, Stacey Bales, tells StaceyPageOnline.com that she believes her daughter is in the Elkhart or South Bend areas. Stacey Bales says she has again spoken with daughter, who still refuses to say where she is and who she is with.

Bales is described as being 5 feet 6 inches tall, 155 pounds with a muscular build, she has gray eyes and blonde, shoulder-length hair. Bales wears glasses or contacts and has a heart-shaped scar on one her left hand.

Bales recently enlisted in the U.S. Army National Guard and attended NorthWood High School in Nappanee.

Anyone with information to her whereabouts or about the male subject she was reportedly seen driving away with, is asked to the call the KCSD’s Tip Line at 574-372-2494.
