Beverly “Kay” Murphy, 69, of Wabash, died at 11:35 a.m., Sunday, May 10, at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born Dec. 8, 1945, in Wabash County, to Vaughn and Helen (Parrott) Garner.
Beverly was a 1963 graduate of Wabash High School, and attended the Fort Wayne Business College. She married L. Ralph Murphy in Wabash, on May 28, 1966. She retired from Ford Meter Box in Wabash after 49 years. She enjoyed being with her family.
She is survived by her husband: L. Ralph Murphy, Wabash; three sons: Todd L. Murphy, Wabash; Brian K. (Amie) Murphy, Wabash; and Jay P. (Sherrie) Murphy, LaFontaine; mother: Helen Garner, Wabash; grandchildren: Elizabeth Murphy; Kristen Murphy; Emily Murphy; Kaitlyn Murphy; Brylee Murphy; Brayden Murphy, all of Wabash; Nicolas Parson; Freedom Parson; Trevor Parson; and Meranda Friend, all of LaFontaine; and brother: Tom (Audrey) Carney, Huntington.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 14, at the funeral home with Doug Oakes, minister, officiating.
