SOUTH WHITLEY – Whitko High School senior Zach Baughman is going to continue his football career at Trine University.

Baughman was a standout linebacker last fall for coach Josh Mohr’s squad. He helped the Wildcats to a 6-4 overall mark and a 6-1 finish in the Three Rivers Conference. Baughman helped Whitko win a share of the TRC title in 2013.

Baughman, who served as a team captain in 2014,  finished his prep career with 157 tackles and 9 1/2 sacks.

“I’m very proud of Zach, both on and off the field,” said Whitko football coach Josh Mohr. “He was a tremendous teammate and role model for our younger kids. We will miss his work ethic and leadership next year.”
