WARSAW – Warsaw Community High School standout swimmer Spencer Davidson turned in numerous outstanding performances to etch his name in multiple places on the WCHS boys swimming record board. The senior scribed his name in swim lore Tuesday, signing a letter of intent to attend and swim for the IUPUI Jaguars next season.
Davidson was an instrumental part of four sectional titles for the Tigers in his career, and he exited his senior season a part of three school records to cap a tremendous career – the 100 breaststroke (56.09), 200 medley relay (1:35.18), and the 200 freestyle relay (128.18).
A three-time All-Northern Lakes Conference swimmer and two-time team MVP, Davidson earned All-American distinction with his performance both last year and this season in the 100 breaststroke. Davidson was also a state finalist all four seasons at a Tiger in multiple events.
Davidson will compete for the Jaguars and coach Matt Boss in a very familiar setting, as IUPUI’s facilities also serve as the site of the IHSAA State Swim Finals. The Jaguars, members of the NCAA, compete in the Summit League. Davidson’s teammate and longtime friend, Jayden Parrett, has also signed a letter of intent to swim at IUPUI this fall.
